Last week's episode of "Have I got news for you", a satire show covering headline news from the week, really caught my attention. One of the guests on the show was a so called feminist by the name of Victoria Coren. One of the stories the panel was discussing, and joking about, was on a man who was under investigation measures and escaped surveillance by going into a mosque, disguising himself in a burka and leaving the mosque wearing the garment. Victoria then disgustingly joked about the already sensitive topic by commenting, "...the first person to be liberated by a burka...a man obviously".

My thought was however, Victoria! you don't have a leg to stand on! You JUST disrespected women who choose to cover themselves yet you turn your nose up at someone who does the same thing to women who also CHOOSE, to not cover themselves and bare it all. You're an absolute idiot and I've realised the only reason you're a "feminist writer" is so you can feel more accomplished than all your other middle-class friends at sunday lunch. You're writing only serves the purpose to make you feel good because you are not making a difference in the real world. I'll tell you who did 'feminism' correctly, Minnie Lansbury, a suffragette who died in prison for wanting equality for all those who lived in the East end in the 1920s. I'm not saying she did feminism correctly because she died, but because she fought. She could have avoided prison but she stood by her beliefs. I bet you won't die in prison for a cause you believe in Victoria. Of course you won't, because you're part of this fake feminist movement, where the issues you choose to represent are really not worth fighting for, let alone die for.
One other thing she said, right before her "liberated" comment was "You know the world is still run by men when women are wearing either a burka or hot pants. Feminism will have won when everyone is just in a nice comfyknee-length dress with a cardigan". Oh my Lord the contradictions in this statement, I can't deal with this. Lets break it down in two. In the first sentence you're telling me we're living in a patriarchal society, I can't argue with that, go ahead Victoria, Imma let you finish. But girl, in the very next sentence you're telling me what to wear, just because you're a woman, you do NOT get a pass. So girl, why can't I make my own decisions on what to wear again? Am I suppose to listen to you because you think you're the pinnacle of womanhood in Western society, which is the pinnacle of civilisation? Well done Victoria, feminism has been savagely chewed up, digested and shitted out by people like you. You're just as bad, if not worse than our dear Godfrey Bloom.

Victoria is a regular contributor to the Observer and in an article two years ago she wrote:
"This week, I'm doing a SlutWalk in reverse. I shall be in Las Vegas where 99% of women will be clad in hotpants, bras and towering stilettoes, while I march between them in a modest, knee-length dress, with warm jacket to protect against the air conditioning. Yes, sisters: I shall fight convention and brave the disapproving looks of passers-by to hammer home our right to dress like 1950s housewives. I REJECT society's assumptions, I REFUSE to be judged, I WON'T allow men to draw sexual conclusions from my attire. Dressing like your Aunt Dahlia DOES NOT mean I am prim, censorious and frigid. That is simply a coincidence." Are SlutWalkers losing their way?
Oh how much sense you speak but how inconsistent you are. Have you changed your mind since Sunday 19th June 2011? Or does none of that apply to me because unlike you, I derive those beliefs from my religion. And everybody hates Islam of course. I know what this is about Victoria! Damn it! I should have thought of this earlier. You don't think a muslim woman is intelligent enough to come up with the idea of covering up all on her own, therefore a man must have forced her to do so. If your skirt was longer Victoria, your sleeves were longer and hair covered, would you like others to think you were not intelligent enough to make your own choices. Does it really take a few inches of fabric to doubt someone's intelligence?
That is all from me...
